I would say look wat Paterno did the very next year and actually this year. I think too often we get to thinking that the old guys dont have it anymore, and maybe that is the case, but more often than not, I'll take the savy veteran coach over the young hotshot [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
Paterno is a figure head coach. He doesn't do much coaching. He's there for recruiting much like Bowden. He never put on a headset Monday. It looked like he was just chilling out watching the game.

My B-I-L and I were talking about the same thing during the game Monday. I wish we had somehting like that at UT, we need some changes made to get some life back into the program and get the players more excited about playing.

No offence, but when Campbell takes over, I don't see that much improvement.
oh no offense at all man, their coaching styles are very similar with the exception of one hollers at you more than the other [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
Whats to coach really? A structed system like Dave Bentley would have never worked at JIB. Campbell was proof of that at UVA Wise and Lee Clarks, well stuff. Burton should have realized that set plays dont work when you have guys like they have had. Thats what gave them so much success.
